We are dedicated to improving outcomes for all children and young people who have special educational needs and disabilities, including children who are excluded or at risk of exclusion.

Whatever their needs or the challenges they face, we will work to engage these children and young people in education, improve their wellbeing and support them on their journey to a productive, happy adult life.

From my early days in teaching I took it as read that all children have the right to an education which meets their individual needs and builds on their individual strengths.
